Nothing super mushy here. Just wanted to show/tell you how my Valentine’s  day went. 

I have work. Saklap. Haha! That’s the life in a corporate world. But even though I didn’t have work that day, I wasn’t expecting to have a date. The boyfriend and I wasn’t in speaking terms (don’t ask why) that week. You know it hurts me when we’re like that. Anyway, I greeted him through text and then that’s it. I wasn’t expecting any replies but while I was in the bus to work, I received his loooooooooong text that almost made me cry right then and there. OA ba? Haha! Seriously though, I wasn’t kidding. :P So he asked me to meet him after my work so we could celebrate (watch movie and then eat). I couldn’t be more excited. 

Fast forward to the end of my work, we decided to just meet in Alabang since we know how terrible the traffic will be (and I wasn’t wrong! I got stuck in traffic for almost an hour!) and we needed to go home early because I have work the next day and he has to complete his requirements. 

I finally saw him. After like 2 (hell) weeks of not seeing each other, he’s standing there, waiting for me. I am so happy! (Minsan lang to. Pagbigyan niyo na ako. :P) We were supposed to watch a movie to make this day as regular date as possible (we don’t really do ’special’ things during VDays because we believe that everyday is as special. Teehee.) but we weren’t able to catch the 7ish pm start because of the traffic so we settled for just dinner since we have a lot of catching up to do.

Racks, Pancake House, Don Henricos, Shakey’s, Kenny Rogers, and any restaurant that you can think of in Festival Mall were all full!! Imagine our frustration and hunger! Hahaha! Finally, after waiting and looking for some new resto to try, we ended up on The Old Spaghetti House. 

It was our first time to eat here and we didn’t know what to expect so we just ordered one of their “Trio Treats”’ All Meat. Safe, eh? Hehe. 

The boyfriend is not really an Italian foods guy but he liked everything. The nacho supreme, spaghetti with meatballs and pepperoni pizza were super yummy! The price’s quite reasonable but I say it’s sulit! What is sulit, mama? it’s getting more than what you paid for! Hahaha. That line is from THIS commercial if you haven’t seen it but I bet you did already. :D

So anyway, while eating and catching up, he said that he has something for me. I wasn’t expecting that first because I understand that he’s jobless at the moment and second, we weren’t okay. But what made me “awwwwww” most was this..

He gave me a card! Most girls will be happy receiving bouquet of roses but I like something more personal. Hand-written letters/cards are still the best. Agree? I would like to show you what was inside but I like to keep it to myself this time and leave you wondering. Hehe.  

6th Valentine’s day together and it keeps getting better every year.

But wait, there’s more! Aside from the card, he gave me this cutiepatootie iPhone case. It’s annoyingly cute, don’t you agree? I want a puppy but I am afraid of one. He gave me this. Now I own one without getting scared to death. Hahaha!

So you see, my VDay wasn’t that bongga like others. But what made me the happiest was the little efforts made. I can live with it. I’m in love with it. <3

I am not a runner, I am aware of that. Maybe that’s the reason why I don’t want to risk joining a marathon or funrun. Ok, ok, let me tell you this now, I think I am out of shape. I don’t exercise regularly, I don’t eat veggies, I don’t sleep early, etc., etc. DON’T BE LIKE ME! Haha. I tell you, it’s not good. As early as now I have to change my lifestyle. I think I need to be on lola mode now. Haha. Char!

So anyway, back to the reason of this post, I finally had my first ever legit run! Yup, the one where you need to register and have singlet and numbers? Haha. It’s so fun! Although I felt like I just walked the whole run. :P But 3k for 35 mins.? I think that’s good for a first-timer like me. Is it or is it not? Runners? 

I felt great! Okay my whole body hurts like hell but you know what they say, “if it hurts, it’s effective” o sabi ko lang yun? Haha! But still!! Congratulate me! I am so proud of my self. *pats my back* :P

I hope this won’t be the last funrun for me. And I swear i’ll be serious in getting back in shape. Hello, summer is just around the corner!!

Happy Valentine’s day! :)

Today is the day where all of the people feels ‘extra’ cheesy to their loved ones. But don’t fret my dear single ladies and gentlemen! Heart’s day is not for the couples only because we can celebrate it with everyone. Stop emo-ing and start smiling because today is a happy day! :)

Since it’s a cheesy day, I know everyone will be having their ‘butterflies in my stomach’ feeling but hey! I have mine on my dress! Ha!

First time to use this bag. I got it last July (2012!) when we went to SG for my birthday and I only got to use it now. It can’t hold too much things even if it’s big so I was disappointed with it but it’s only 10 SG dollars so wala akong karapatan magreklamo. Haha! :P

Sorry if I wasn’t able to post stuff on my blog lately. My February is like a looooong roller coaster ride. I am happy yet I am sad and I don’t even know how I can feel both. But I chose to stay positive. Sabi ko nga, this too shall pass so i’m holding on to that. Everything’s gonna be okay. I believe in me, I believe in him, and I believe in Him.

Do you sometimes want to just go away or sail away and forget all about the fuss and buzz of draManila? I think (yes, think) I sometimes want to. But no, I can’t, because draManila is the reality check that I need. 

Wow! Drama ba ng umpisa? Pagbigyan na! MInsan lang yan. ;)

So last week, I had a quick getaway (back and forth in a day) with the family and went to my mom’s hometown to visit some relatives. I guess I needed it after all so thank you Lord for making this happen. Speech?? LOL!

Anyway, just a warning, I might say things that sound weird to you but you gotta deal with it because this is my post and I can say whatever I want even if it doesn’t makes sense anymore. Haha. Oh tulad nyan, walang sense. :P

I love provinces. The real provinces I mean. That “probinsya” vibe where you can actually inhale and exhale fresh air and where you can see lots and lots of green (e.i trees, farm, and more trees. hehe). You can’t really do/see that in Manila, can you? Really, it can clear you head and helps you think a bit clearer (but in my case, sadly, it didn’t help a bit)

So good to the eyes to actually look at these greens. Nakaka-relax to the extent na you want to just live here. Tempting, huh? But no, walang signal dito kakaloka! Haha!

And this day might have been an “environment appreciation day” to me because I can’t help but adore the views I see left and right. God must really love us to just create these places that you would want to go to every now and then. Like what you’re seeing? Me too!

 This day too, I became a “feeling pro” photographer. We weren’t able to bring my camera so I just used my iPhone to take these photos, yes, all of them, and edited it using one of the amazing apps of iPhone, Snapseed. Don’t you just love the pictures? I mean, you gotta admit I did a pretty great job capturing them huh? Say yes? Yes? Yes! Bahaha!

My not-so-little brother and my cousin had the little swim in the river and I am jealous to death because the water is just so inviting I wanted to have a quick deep. Wala lang ako pamalit. Boo! But hopefully when we return and have a longer time to stay, i’ll swim and contemplate here. Haha!
